The Negative Calorie Diet - What Is It And Does It Work?

A popular diet that has recently come to the fore is The Negative Calorie Diet as it gets great comments made about its success rate particularly on forums dedicated to those trying to lose weight. Many though don't understand how it works and this article is aimed at explaining it to you.

The idea behind the diet is actually rather simple to understand once it is explained to you. The negative part of the title comes from the fact that with certain foods you can actually use more calories to digest it than are actually contained in the food when you eat it.

In case you still don't understand it fully here is an example. If you where to eat a food that contained 60 calories but our body uses 90 calories to digest that food then you will actually be 30 calories better off than before you ate the food. This is therefore a negative calorie.

Most food of course contain more calories than you would use to digest it and this is where the program comes in as they provide you with the full guide of the foods which will help the weight loss diet to work. The big question of course though is whether it actually works.

As I have already mentioned the comments from its users on the many weight loss forums swear by the program. Many love it so much because of the fact that the diet isn't based on an exercise program although I would recommend you do some exercise to not only get yourself fitter but also to boost the results even further. The Negative Calorie Diet is certainly an option worth considering.
